Insurance Reimbursement
Paying for therapy doesn’t have to be overwhelming!
You may be able to file with your private insurance company to recoup the entire cost of your therapy treatment - or at least a portion of it. The 2008 Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act2008 Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act states that insurance providers must provide the same amount of coverage for mental health and substance use as they would for other medical and surgical care. In addition, the Affordable Care Act made financing mental health treatment easier than ever.
Call your insurance.
Each carrier and plan is different, so verify your out-of-network benefits with your insurance company before scheduling your initial therapy session. Be prepared to provide your personal demographic and policy information.
